Above Us & Around Us

This Libra Equinox arrives on the heels of a solar eclipse at 10° Libra, tightly conjunct the South Node and Mercury. By the time the Sun reaches 0° Libra to mark the equinox, it carries forward the eclipse’s karmic themes of release and reset, especially around relationships, communication, and patterns of imbalance. With the South Node involved, there is a strong pull to let go of old ways of relating — people-pleasing, avoidance, or one-sided dynamics — while Mercury’s presence highlights the power of conversations, contracts, and truths revealed at this threshold. Supporting aspects to Neptune in Pisces encourage compassion and dissolve illusions, while Uranus in Taurus brings sudden clarity, disruption, or breakthroughs that push us closer to authenticity.

In the Southern Hemisphere, this equinox marks spring, aligning with themes of renewal, planting seeds, and fresh growth. The polarity of Aries and Libra is especially highlighted now: Libra seeks fairness and harmony, while Aries asks for courage and self-assertion. Together they frame this equinox as an opportunity to rebalance relationships without losing sight of individuality. It’s a fertile moment to consciously reset partnerships, to choose authenticity alongside harmony, and to align new beginnings with both personal integrity and collective balance. The equinox’s equal day and night reminds us that balance doesn’t mean perfection, but a dynamic dance between opposites.

Adding further depth, 2025 is both a 9 year in numerology and the Year of the Snake. Both archetypes carry the wisdom of endings, completion, and transformation — the “shedding of skin” before new growth can emerge. These collective currents mirror the astrology of the eclipse and equinox, strengthening the call to release what no longer serves and step into a new cycle with greater clarity. The convergence of eclipse, equinox, numerology, and Snake year makes this a rare and potent portal: a cosmic invitation to close outdated chapters, restore balance, and plant the seeds of authentic growth that will flourish in the season ahead.

This Equinox you find us steeped in Warrior Queen medicine. Spring has sprung and the medicine of the ruling ‘planet’ for Leo is shining bright. This Sun energy represents our life purpose and looking at your own natal chart to see which house and sign your Sun falls in will reveal your own personal way to charge your batteries and feel ‘on track’ with what you are here to be and do in this life. Do you know where your own Sun is placed?

Courage is another word associated with our Fire Warrioresses of which Warrior Queen is one of three. This quality is what each woman calls forward when it is her turn to offer a ‘Call to Courage’. This is a pivotal part of the work we do together as we embark on a journey to cultivate the ‘fierce feminine’. For the feminine at its essence knows that true strength is derived from intimately coming to know the vulnerable places within us so as not to fear them and invest them with power over us. As poet David White reminds us, ‘vulnerability is the underlying human condition’ and thus to once again remember our own power and wholeness we are tasked with intimately befriending our own underbellies. Do you know what you would offer for a witnessed call to courage in a safe space of radical non-judgement?

The Circle of Sisters — a delightful, heartfelt weaving of imagery from our gatherings with a soulful narration by our Medicine Woman Clan Mother Eve Oak. Eve's words draw from the wisdom of David Whyte on vulnerability, reimagined in the context of sisterhood, and from Linda Reuther’s poem Homecoming, alongside a masculine reflection offered to balance.

Within, find words that honour the power of vulnerability in circle, woven with poetry that speaks to both the mother (Protectress) and the father (Alchemist) in their divine expression. Consider this an invocation of what happens when we come together in truth and tenderness, when the fierce feminine meets the sacred masculine in harmony.

Warrioress Practice - Spring Equinox

Align with Sun and Earth and receive your cosmic download for the coming two seasons.

Dear Sisters,

As the Earth tilts once more toward the sun, we cross the sacred threshold of the Spring Equinox—a day where light and dark stand in perfect balance.

This marks the return of the light—a time when seeds stir underground, buds begin to swell, and the inner life we nurtured through the winter prepares to emerge.

It is not just the season that changes. Our biology, our mood, our rhythm—everything is ready to shift. As women we have a natural attunement to the shift of seasons. We feel that deep inner knowing, that feeling of our bodies belonging to Mother Earth, being a very part of her. And like Mother Earth our bodies are receptive to the sun, the electromagnetic fields and the subtle weather patterns that whisper of longer days, of expansive energies of co-creation, the urge of moving our bodies to the music of the birds and the bees and burying our hands and toes into the spring earth of our gardens. Science is catching up to this inner knowing of circadian rhythms and seasonal biology. Azra Bertrand has put a lot of work in marrying the spiritual, magical and scientific, and he explains beautifully how light carries codes – patterns that affect everything from sleep to immunity, from mood to metabolism and even beyond your sense of clarity and vitality into the attunement of spirit and soul. By exposing your body to natural dawn and dusk light, especially near the Equinox, you activate deep layers of cellular and energetic alignment.

And it is ritual practice adapted from one of his Sola-Terra breath and movement rituals, that we would like to share with you. A gentle, private ritual designed to align your body and spirit with the sun and earth, and the coming changes during the next 6 months until the next equinox.

To be done at dawn or dusk (or both), within 3 days of the Equinox.

You only need about 20–30 minutes and a quiet space—preferably outdoors, or near a window with natural light.

A huge undertaking of love and commitment from the Vision Mother and a number of the Clan Mothers has inspired the creation of the 13 Warrioress Journals.

What began as sacred companion pieces to the online journeys soon revealed themselves as powerful tools in their own right — gateways into the archetypes, designed to meet each seeker exactly where she is.

What has been my experience of the Amazonian Arts?

Coming into the Amazonian Arts six years ago, I didn't have any awareness of how much this journey would change me. The Way of the Warrioress is a pathway through Amazonian Astrology, as each Warrioress is birthed through the thirteen constellations and holds a reflection of fierce feminine facets. As I walk this path, parts of my inner self return to me and I'm seeing through a whole new lens of deeper awareness and greater perspective. This journey brings me into more wholeness and balance to become the one I was waiting for....

My deepest transformations have come from a Call to Courage in sacred circle, where I am taken into the depths of my shadows; a place I had not been able to go alone. The Banshee Warrioress is present with me, and She holds me, as I am witnessed in my courage. I step forward and release all that has been holding me under. I show up with my ugly cries; howling; roaring; screaming; until all that was within, is now without. I am seen, heard and felt by the Sisterhood of the Amazonian Arts.
